Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein turned himself in to police on criminal charges of rape and sexual assault on May 25. But immediately after his arrest, Weinstein was out on a $1 million bail. However, he is wearing a monitoring device that tracks his whereabouts. Weinstein is not allowed to go past New York or Connecticut.

Weinstein is facing charges of rape and a criminal sex act against two women. He had reportedly been working on a plan to make a documentary on himself. Sources told that this documentary would tell his side of the story.

“He’s been trying to get a documentary done on himself,” said a film insider of Weinstein to Page Six. “He wanted to make a film he could control — he’d been calling people,” said the source

A dozen women, including movie stars Angelina Jolie, Ashley Judd and Gwyneth Paltrow, have accused him of sexual harassment and assault. The film producer has denied the claims.

Following his arrest, Rose McGowan, one of the first women to publicly accuse Weinstein of sexual harassment, spoke on Megyn Kelly Today about how it feels now that Weinstein has been arrested.

“I actually didn’t believe this day would come,” she admitted. “This is a big strike into the heart of abuse of power, and it shows people worldwide—which is what I was hoping the whole time—that this cannot, and will not, stand […] The man who pinned me down had handcuffs on him today,” – Rose McGowan

Since October of last year, over 80 women have come forward with allegations against Weinstein.

Weinstein is set to appear in court on July 30th.
