Four Gangrape Cases Reported In Madhya Pradesh
Four gangrapes have been reported in Madhya Pradesh. While three of them took place in a span of 24 hours, two of the cases involved minors.
The two minor gangrape cases were reported from Raisen district and Gehlawan village. In the first case, a 15-year-old girl was gangraped at Murpar village in Raisen district on 9th July. Two men have been arrested in this case. A case has been registered against the two under the sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act.
In another incident, a 17-year-old girl was raped by two people while she was alone at home in Gehlawan village on 10th July. The two accused are yet to be arrested. Inspector Devendra Pal Singh of Devri police station stated that the two accused, Rammu and Billa, took her to a forested area. They allegedly consumed alcohol and raped her.
In the third case, an 18-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by five people on Saturday (7th July). Five men, led by one Imran Khan, kidnapped the woman while she was sleeping on the terrace of her house in Dhanora. They took her to an isolated spot and raped her.
In the fourth case, a woman from Mandla alleged that she was raped at a hotel room in Bhopal on Tuesday (10th July). Two persons have been arrested in this case. The woman had come to meet her cousin, in connection with a job opportunity. Her cousin, Shailendra Kushwaha, asked his friend Idris Khan to make arrangements for her stay in a hotel. Idris was accompanied by two of his friends. All of them had dinner together. Later, Khan left and the two allegedly raped her in the hotel room. Cops are searching for Khan.
